Hi.

I am just over two weeks into having my first system. And I have had nothing but problems with ghost bond. I have tried both postpone the platinum and decks L. I am getting lifts after just two days I clean my head with alcohol well before applying and follow the directions but still no joy. Interestingly though I have had good results from Walker tape around the perimeter and top can someone suggest a different glue which may work better for me Please.

You should also wash your head right before attaching with dish washing liquid and some decent soap. Is the base lifting or the glue?

OK so I've had huge problems with ghost bond xl, but also huge success. The problems I've had are with too much glue (use the smallest amount) and not enough drying time.

I know many people suggest dish soap and wiping with alcohol. I suppose if it works for you, that's all that matters. But typically when you dry your skin with outside influence, it triggers the sebaceous glands to secrete more sebum/oil to replace what was lost.

It doesn't cure properly. It gunks up far worse. It's really a bad idea.

What do you expect more glue to do, when attaching a thin piece of lace or poly?

Thin layers. It's the key.

I do several thin layers as instructed but the base just lifts away he glue is still attached to the base event but my head is completely free of any tackiness. was thinking about trying walker tape ultra hold

So this means it doesn't stick to your skin...do you use a scalp protector? Scalpprotectors create a thin film between skin and glue which may help in your case. Other option is to use another type of glue such as ultrahold.

I haven’t tried scalpnprotector yet but it was my next port of call. However I have heard that it increases adhesion by 30 percent. Still not great when I am getting lifts after 3 days. I hear people saying they are getting 4 week hold times I just can’t understand it

4 weeks with waterbased glue, never..I touchup hairline ( exposed in my case) after 4 or 5 days with ghostbond...same with ultrahold, acrylic based...
I have oily skin and exercise, but don't heavily sweat...

You can't base your expectation on anyone else's experience. Everyone's body chemistry and enviroment is very different.

These products are cheap...buy every scalp protector every antiperspirant and every adhesive.... stick with the one that works best for you..

I would have to say if you're only getting 3 days, that's a scalp preparation issue....

I will try the scalp protector and let the thread know the results. I am fairly sure the ghost bond is not fake but only going by visual checks.

Where was it purchased?

This is why I advocate for hair direct. They are the largest supplier and probably Pro Hair Labs largest client.

It has that transparency code and passes the YouTube fake test.
But who knows
I had the same problem with the ghost bond platinum that was used at initial fitting of the system though so I think it is more to do with my skin.
