I traditionally had long hair since I was a kid, but always noticed that my front hairline was weird. I always looked good when my hairline was covered with a fringe, but terrible otherwise, because the hairline has given my a high forehead at the sides.
Rather than being flat across my head, it's ok in the middle 1-2 inches, but far back at either side of the centre. This means that the front of my hair looks like a mohawk, with skin on either side.
I thought I'd shave all my hair off before treating it, so I could see more clearly what the results were, and be able to apply treatments more easily. This new haircut looks terrible, but adding some colour to make an artificial straight harline makes it look good. Girls have said that I look hot in a hat, but terrible once it comes off (I appreciate their honesty on the subject!!)
I decided that it would become my goal to make a proper hairline for myself, and started pumping the area with Minoxidil. I notice that the sides of the hairline that I do have are much thinner than the bit in the very centre.
What else can I do? I can't afford surgery, and I'm too young to see if my hair situation is at it's 'worst point' anyway. Can treatments give you a better hairline when you never had one in the first place? Or do treatments only treat areas that used to have hair.
Thanks a lot.
Si,
