Dutasteride: supposed to give you a great head of hair, but totally f*ck you up hormonally and give you terrible side effects.
What it's done for me... Made me feel better in every way, but made my hair look like total sh!t.
LOL.
So far dutasteride is going well for me a week in
Only side ive got is a little increase in libido. Wife must think im on blue pills lol
Hairfall has all but stopped.
How long have you been on dutasteride? What dose?
It would be helpful if you could elaborate.
Which brand are you using ?
Did you make a switch from finasteride to dutasteride and if so how did you make the switch ?
Thanks.
You get a free testosterone boost with this stuff, so that is probably what you are feeling. I felt the same with finasteride.
That's not true. These drugs decrease free testosterone. They increase fotal testosterone and estrogen but the usable (free) testosterone is less. They are, like it or not, feminising drugs.
Not readable without a login?
"A recent study has shown that in patients receiving testosterone, dutasteride (Avodart, GlaxoSmithKline) did not blunt the hormone's effects on muscle mass."
Pretty much the only part that matters.
All I can say is that I feel like my testosterone has increased, but my hair looks worse than ever. I went from having a thin spot on my left temple that could be covered up, to have a so-thin-it's-a-bald-spot on my left temple that CANNOT be covered up.

Thats not funny man, that just blows!! At least you can kinda joke about it though. Well it blows for hair... At least you feel good
You better check you facts, it increases it.-
"Earlier studies did examine dutasteride use in young men. The drug reduced DHT by 80 percent, and increased both free and total testosterone."
Even though dutasteride is stronger, finasteride will also increase it.
I'm hoping it's a telogen effluvium (shed) that dutasteride started.
