Hello,
I'm 23 year old male, who started having a receding hairline. Until now, I've avoided this matter, kinda like when alcoholics don't admit that they're alcoholics, I've kept my eyes shut on this matter, but I can't ignore it anymore when I have to spend 30 min in the morning on getting my hair right in the hairline, so it doesn't look bad. I realize Propecia could definitely help me, because people can't tell my hair are thinning unless I let them grow longer, but I won't be taking that because I read about some real side effects that ruin people's lives, and I've done a surgery in the past where doctors didn't tell me real, and all side effects, and it almost ruined my life, so now I never do anything to modify my body, but male pattern baldness is a real problem, I have a very youthful look, but my hair make me look very older, and I don't even feel young anymore because of it. I don't wanna live my life like this.
With that being said, I also want to apologize if a similar thread has been opened.
So, my question is, what are some REAL risks and side effects of a FUE surgery that people don't talk about, the risks that affect only small % of patients, but indeed can happen?
Also, what can my expectations be? I want my hairline to be just like it was 2 years ago (it was completely straight) and I noticed people say that it doesn't look natural, but all my family in their 30s and 40s have that kind of hairline, so my question is, do people say it doesn't look natural because it doesn't happen often, or because doctors CAN'T MAKE IT LOOK natural?
I saw a lot of celebrities have done hair transplant, Matthew McGohonughey (I know I misspelled that), but until I saw his pics from 1999 online, I could never tell he had them done, and I was always envy of his hair. Can my expectations be that?
Finally, what are the most reputable surgeons in US? I live in LA, but I can easily fly to Miami, or anywhere else in the US for this (I will save every penny for this).
I only now came across this forum, and I wanna thank all of you in advance for replying to my questions.
