Those still using rogaine; does it say on the bottle "do no apply to the front of the head"? I think it said in my instructions when I first bought mine...

My front has gotten tragically thin since applying rogaine for an extended period of time and never regrew much. Not sure if this is male pattern baldness or rogaine´s fault.
anybody experienced the same thing?

I guess it's shedding, i applied minoxidil/rogane(tried all of them) for almost 2 years and as far as regrow goes additional to 1mg. finasteride = none.
I found one study about frontal hairloss and minoxidil here
But it might be a piece of cr***************p. Not sure though.

Its entirely possible that your hair will get worse, although only temporary, in the beginning if you start rogaine. The medication will cause your hair to enter a different phase of hair growth and therefore will adjust the cycle of growth, whichever your hair happens to be in when you start the medication. This can be true of any hairloss treatment. I remember I shedded like a bastard when I started minoxidil in like 2003... but, alas, after several weeks or a month or so, it regrew and came back in much thicker.

This is true for frontal or crown hairloss, no matter where.

Yeah if you stop during a shedding, your hair will be worse.
So never stop and get discouraged during a shed.

I have actually seen the MOST growth in the front of my head. Of course I had terrible hairloss at an early age so that might be the reason it worked so well. But I can attest that Rogaine Foam works on the front of the head. Infact, that's where I applied it the most. I kind of neglected the crown area somewhat (still applied just not as meticulous). It definitely shows through my crown since its still pretty thin. I have started taken more care of the crown though.

Well im a diffuse thinner, and my hair has gotten thick again all over my head (on top where the thinning was/is), so thats pretty amazing. Just try it and stick with it for a while.
