Follicum Trial Starting Soon In Germany

Hi guys,

I am from Germany and some time ago I found a "job offer" very close to my city. They are searching for AA patients and are planning to start a human trial this year (screening appointments are in June/July)

I was wondering what product this could be and now i just found out, that Follicum is conducting their trials with their product FOL-005 in Germany.

I am wondering why this product is not discussed in the new research subforum? Is this just another "snake oil treatment" or could this really be a good alternative to the existing drugs?

Because its just phase 2a trial, so far from commercialisation. The trial will go for about 5 month and the participators will get 1000€ reward for taking part.

It could be great for some...

this is the best trichogram i have seen so far (made on human thighs). BUT this is probably their best case which is about 8 times the increase of the avverage increase. But 60% increase for like 10% of the users would be a reason for me to try it. And maybe it works better on the head.

Hi! I will have faith on this, but we have discussed about it before.

I even talked to the chief of the company (well, we wrote some emails).

So far we don´t know anything new, so we just have to wait.

At least, there are some drugs that will be tested these next years. Unfortunately for us, it will take time to have one that will help us like finas does.

I will try to follow the discussion.

Yeah, you could try. Afaik the trials are in Hamburg and Berlin, you'll get around 1k€ which is not bad at all.

I am still wondering why samumed and CB are being discussed like crazy and FOL-005 is being ignored. Is it not worth watching?

Hi! I think that the main difference is that these trials did not continue whereas Samumed´s have not stopped because of the pandemic.

Probably because follicum is several years away from a potential release.

Probably because it's so weak and they have no idea how or why it works, if it even does

Follicum AB reports that all patients have completed treatment with FOL-005 in the Phase II study against hair loss – Follicum

Follicum has just finished its phase 2a trial. All patients are done with their treatment.
"Top line results are expected to be presented during spring 2021"

Not the most interesting treatment but still something to look at in the coming months

It's more of a 5/10% regrowth drug. if I remember well, they were having similar results than that of minoxidil 5%, so it's more something to stack in your regimen.

Nothing insane but the fact they are pushing this drug to the market despite the grand promises made by some researchers makes me think this is legit and might end up in your hands one day, through legit circuits.

In addition, several hair loss pioneers are praising Follicum for their very scientific/medical approach of research. Hence, I tend to trust their figures more than others

Even if there would be no regrowth. Sideless maintenance would be great.

If They mean response = regrowth, but it is response=stopping hair loss. But in their treatment they claim response = stopping hair loss. Hmmm, betting your competition by lying is not good.
