phish, Seeing the results from probably Phase I, I have confidence that this will make a lot of people happier. I'm hoping the news for Phase II is good. There is a possibility of a 2008 small scale commercialization, but the estimate so far is 2010. That's good, I have time to save up for it.

is that supposed to be a before and after photos or photos of after only? duh :hairy:

there is no way this hm will not work , even if the injections dont work out to perfection they have already proven they can clone unlimited follicles which can be transplanted in the traditional method.

i am 33 so i guess im not to old to have hope this will be out before im an old man...maybe i ll get a full head of hair for my 40th bday who knows?

I think it's before and after pictures. I will be excited when this comes out. Kemp mentioned the possibility of a transplant for the hairline, but they might have made great progress. We won't really know until results are announced in the fall. When it does come out, I can finally grow it long.

We should be lucky we live in this time and not in the past which means there wouldn't be many options. Despite it will take time, I'm looking forward to this.

That might be the area where the needle was injected or the tattoos.

DaSand, I wondered the same thing. I mean, it almost looks to me like the before picture was taken just after the area was shaven, and then the after picture was taken after the hairs that were already their grew out a bit. I don't know, hard to tell.

On another note, I think those two dots were made with tattoo ink, used to mark the area under study. I read somewhere that they used some sort of tattoo for other hair loss product studies, to make sure they were looking at the same spot time after time, but I envisioned a 1cm^2 square completely drawn out. I guess I didn't think about it enough. These two dots make more sense - nobody wants to go bald and have a tattoo of a square on their bald head.=[

Anyway, personally, I am trying not to over-analyze these before and after pics. I want to wait and see what happens with Phase II trials.

True Elquapo, I took a closer look at it. New hair was definitely growing in the after picture. I'm eagerly awaiting the news in September.

wow that is cool! that makes me think 2009/2010 is a very plausible release date. how awesome would it be if in three years time if u thought ure hair was lookin a little thin you can just go get a couple of injections and add hair to your head. modern science is truly an amazing thing. i bet in a few years getting HM injections in your scalp will be as common as like botox injections today. i just hope these trials speed up a lil bit

Lol first cloning pictures from 13 years ago and we still don't have it on the market. What a joke. Too many companies/people not committed enough to making it happen. That's why I respect Dr. Tsuji's work so much, because despite the potential delays and astronomical cost it may be, he's committed to doing it and not quitting on it.
