finasteride dangerous?

Hi there,

Ive been taking finasteride (proscar) since oct '07 and with succes (my hair stopped getting thinner, no further recession).

I was 19 at the time.

Ive always been wondering, isnt it dangerous to be taking finasteride at such a young age, because your body doesnt stop developing at 18, but it goes on till about 21/22 I think (getting broader, maybe a lil taller to name 2).

Since DHT is responsible for your development and finasteride lowers it, isnt that dangerous?

What are your opinions?

I know finasteride has been approved from age 18 but still, what do you guys think??

Well, you should start early but not too early. 18 seems like a good age to me.

I remember my cousin and I started to lose hair at about the same age. 15 years later, I'm 32 y.o. and still a NW2 and he's 31 and a NW4. unk:

Wauw youve maintained your hair for 15 years with just finasteride?

Well finasteride has more side effects in genereal, but for you personally minoxidil is more dangerous.

Well are you sure you have male pattern baldness then?

You said you have a NW2, maybe you just developed a mature hairline and not Androgenetic Alopecia.
