I wish just eating or drinking the fatty acid would work lol. It still kinda sucks that you gotta keep applying this topical like minoxidill in order for it to keep working. I highly highly doubt stopping entirely will make the hair keep growing like normal.
I feel you Losing but to hell with it if it works applying it topically we gon do it

While I'm here I do want to bring up a 3rd acid. And that is Valproic Acid. Valproic acid (including divalproex sodium, valproate sodium) is a prescription antiepileptic drug (AED) and mood stabilizer used to treat seizure disorders, bipolar disorder (manic episodes), and prevent migraines.

Valproic acts on the GABA receptor and ions of the brain. I bring Valproic Acid because it's been found that it can potentially induce follicle neogenisis (via wound inducing) and can stimulate the wnt pathway.

Now heres the ironic part, so just like oliec acid , valproic acid can only have a positive affect on follicles when topically! Patients the took the drug orally ( via tablets) hair loss was a thing being brought up... But when used topically it induces growth of hair.

Here's the result of a guy using Valproic Acid on his hairline via looksmax forum

But (always a but with this androgenetic alopecia thing) Valproic Acid powder is very hard to source. Valproic Acid tablets can be "dissolved" but it's hard to dissolve which the guy in the picture complained about ( still got results as we can see even though it didn't dissolve 100 percent he literally has a feminine type hairline forming using this) there's other post on the looksmaxx forum that are going to be testing it out on their hairline and other parts of their head.

A couple of the guys ordered the powder it back in February but it still hasn't arrived....

I wonder if Valproic acid works the same as the Oliec Acid.

Yep I would probably buy pure oleic acid. The mouse with that looked like it had just a little more growth at 20 days than the other acid.

Curious on that myself and its why my plan is to drop to once a week application after week 12 and then later if that works stop entirely and see if it starts reversing or not. If it does I will just jump back on it. My frontal hair is just a little thicker now from it I just noticed for the first time a few days ago. Guessing the new growth must be just a tad thicker as I dont think any new hairs have sprouted there. If I do have to keep using this stuff more than once a week in the future I will probably switch to an alcohol application.
Found two examples. Very cheap at least.

I am into anti-aging research and even though it can do some helpful things there are too many possible downsides to Valproic acid imo from what others reported. Personally I wouldnt start using that stuff regularly but I guess you can try it and see if you want. I know some people really into cutting edge stuff years ago for slowing aging down quit using it after a while but cant remember the reasons they did.

Topical oleic acid dont work for everyone but for some it seems to. Its the same case with minoxidill. But the issue with pure oleic acid is that it will cause skin irritation and it also fucks the skin barrier. Using pure oleic acid with ethanol or dmso on a daily basis cant be good for the skin long term.

I doubt oleic acid in that % with the much higher alcohol content would do anything but I cant say for sure as I have never tried it yet.

I think its just another treatment like minoxidill. But with no side effects at least. Doesnt hurt to add it into a regimen. I will experiment with it I guess. But applying 95% ethanol daily on my scalp will not only f*** my skin but also my hair. I also hate topicals thats why I use oral min twice a day +SP and finasteride. Lawton did u ever try minoxidill topically for some months or orally?
