Ye, I also think that high E is bad for many reasons, especially if you have low aromatase enzyme like me (my aromatase was marked as poor on test) and Adri (and some others here too, although It happens to be a pretty rare disorder), because with low aromatase, your body is just not used to any significant doses of E, and all the RNA transciption that existed without E, will have to be recalibrated to have E as co-factor. And this is gonna be even more shocking to the system the later you start.
And indeed, thats true about corticosteroid-binding globulin and upregulated cortisol production as a result, furthermore E increases all the axis globulins including SHBG and the thyroid one (Thyroxine-Binding Globulin). This effect on all the globulins means that E can up(down)regulate tons of sh*t.
I'm honestly starting to believe that min-maxing (like in games) just doesn't work with living organisms, there's a very delicate balance, that can be easily broken if smth is blocked or elevated. If you block smth, you need to replace it with smth, if smth is elevated, smth else will be deficient or elevated.
In case of E (especially for ppl with bad aromatase), I think that high E just needs to be mediated with progestin (or prog), which helps with regulation of those globulins, as well as E-induced cell proliferation in some tissues. Moreover, high estrogen actually lowers progesterone, and imbalance in these hormones lead to improper functioning of the thyroid (and adrenal gland as a result).
by high E levels you mean more than 500 pg ml?

Very individual. I'd say 200-250 with bad aromatase and 300-350 in other cases. Overall, IMO, >350 is high.
Unironically I had best hair when I had 278 - 329pg/ml e2 at trough with a shbg level of 61-63 nmol/L. After my shbg spiked to 91+(even 120 sometimes) my hair started to get fucked pretty damn fast and very noticeable.

Tbh, I feel like it might be connected to lack of testosterone in tissues. SHBG binds to T much more aggressively and our hair needs T, because its a part of hair cycle.
Yeah I think some T is not that bad as some ppl(me included) thought as long as is in the femenine range. I think breaking balance of T also does something weird that makes DHT to rise I'm not kidding. Like highish SHBG and bica together must be fucked up cause I prob have very little T inside tissues. DHT started to increase when my SHBG also increased

Yep, seems very likely.
I will first try to lower e2 to see if my SHBG gets lower. If that does not work after few months I will just entirely stop bica and risk even higher Minoxidil hypertrichosis. At the end of the day high DHT is worse than minoxidil hypertrichosis and if I lower DHT it might indirectly decrease hypertrichosis because hair will have less androgenic stimuli
