Thanks Swoop,

I will attend and record the most important presentations for us (we can choose) + presentations they ask me to record. Then I will try to get interviews.

Nice! You should probably contact the persons you want to interview before the conference and get appointments if possible, as well as you may ask for presentations beforehand to enable you to prepare.

I am sure you can get some tips about recordings, interviews etc. from Hellouser and Desmond.

New user looking for help

Hi,

Sorry to go off topic with this post.

I am trying to figure out how you message other users outside of a forum thread - this message is directed to hellouser.

I came across the hellouser RU58841 instructions and I wanted to ask some questions.

I am aware of the limitations in what controlled studies have been done regarding the use of RU58841 for androgenetic alopecia - you and some others have been using this stuff for some time. I do not really have the nerve to try oral Finasteride and I am looking for a lower risk alternative - RU58841 seems the candidate.

I have the following questions.

1. Have you taken any steps to verify efficacy in scalp DHT levels?
2. Have you taken any steps to verify no systemic impact at points throughout your use?
3. Are you concerned about the risk of others coming into contact with the substance whilst on scalp (this was noted as a risk somewhere (can reference if required - information overload a bit so would have to go back and find) for [pregnant?] women from topical Finasteride)?
4. Noted your background - how did you come about understanding how to make RU58841 topical solution effective?
5. For how long does the use of RU58841 block DHT i.e. what is your application schedule?

Would really appreciate some guidance.

Good news guys ! :D

I called to president of Trichology of Georgia and asked her to let me in the congress for free. She refused. Then I offered her that I will record the congress on video, edit and give it to them for free. They agreed!

So I hit two rabbits with one shot. I will go there for free (save 400 euros) and have permission to record it. I'm genius :d

Feel free to praise me :D
and thanks for donation offers :d It's not necessary now.

Now we can prepare for the congress. Prepare questions and provide me with some links, because I'm not familiar with some of the speakers.

Solomon, you are the man! Thank you for all your efforts to the community. You are highly appreciated!

About EHRS
News
News
What’s new in hair — April 2016 | Dr. Claire A. Higgins
All hairstyles are not created equal: What the dermatologist needs to know about black hairstyling practices and the risk of traction alopecia (TA) | Treatment of an alopecia areata patient with tofacitinib results in regrowth of hair and changes in serum and skin biomarkers | Low-level laser therapy as a treatment for androgenetic alopecia | Signaling Networks among Stem Cell Precursors, Transit-Amplifying Progenitors, and their Niche in Developing Hair Follicles | Development and Characterization of a 3D Printed, Keratin-Based Hydrogel | STAT5 activation in the dermal papilla is important for hair follicle growth phase induction

Well certainly short and lamentably general. -([/QUOTE]
Whether Dr. Higgins will specifically touch on any of these items/areas substantively is unclear. As you can see this summary of events was from several months ago. I looked at EHRS's events calendar and ATT was unable to find anymore details relating to their upcoming conference presentation(s).

Surprised by the lack of attention this is getting. This needs a new thread stickied at the top so people can post their questions.

Would be nice if the link to the new thread can be shared on HLC2020 and BTT as well.

I believe number 5 is from those researchers that made hair follicles from stem cells (on rats though)
The question for them would be if they plan to start clinical trials soon? Some time back Sanford-Burnham got some major funding however the sceptic in me is thinking that they are still in preclinical work.

Also it would be nice to ask about JAK inhibtors and Androgenetic Alopecia although at this point that probably lies on Aclaris.

As for Replicel I'm thinking it will be mostly how they can't get regulatory approval in Germany.

no one cares? (except @GotHair)

No questions? Ok, I'll try to do everything by myself.

No, if you make a new thread with the speakers you posted above and PM the admin to sticky it, it would get more attention. Also, post link on other hair loss resources even though you'll probably be banned if you try to post this to BTT lol.

Yes, I have three questions for European Hair Research Society:

Generals questions:

1) A guy has advanced this theory : "There will never be a drug that will recover the lost hair after the follicle has been inactive for several years . If the follicle is dead for some hair cycles, it is dead for good , all researchers seem to show (even Brotzu puts a limit of five years from its seemingly miraculous potion ...) " This is not the first time I hear that kind of comment. There are even those who think the skin eventually heal some point. If this is true , for someone who has a big thick crown, he still has as solution the graft and maybe cloning, but for a guy like me nothing more , that's scary! This is a very important and very relevant ! If this theory proves true , types completions bald would be doomed to remain so for the rest of their lives. Although an effective cream or a cloning process were to emerge , it will benefit. It is an abomination ! Hence the urgency to find a treatment as soon as possible for those who , like me, are completely recently. What do you think?

2) I loss all my hair because I took many bad medicaments (Prozac, Risperidone, Concerta) during many years at very very very very very high dose. I have NOTHING (ZERO) hair since 1 month. I still chance of cure?

About Jak Inhibitors:

3) Do you think that Jak Inhibitor will be effective for a medicinal diffuse alopecia (exemples: antidepressants (Prozac, Lithium), Risperidone, Concerta, others bad medication)? Same treatment will be effective for Androgenetic Alopecia & medicinal alopecia? Is the way the hair falls for both types of hair like ?

Thank you Solomon !

Awesome news Solomon!!! Great to have you there to represent us. The one question that I have is for Dr. Christiano. Using oral tofacitinib, she was able to help a boy with alopecia areata regrow all of his hair. I believe that she stated that a topical version for tofacitinib could be much more potent in promoting hair regrowth and would possess virtually no side effects. Please ask her if they have any plans to text a topical version of tofacitinib on people with androgenetic alopecia. Thanks so much man.

Hey,
Today I attended and recorded opening of the congress and Gala performance (They asked me).
+ JERRY SHAPIRO (NEW YORK, USA) - TRICHOLOGIC MEDICINE OVER THREE DECADES: MY PERSONAL JOURNEY IN AN ACADEMIC SETTING

His speech was not interesting for us.

Short summery of his speech:
-He was talking about his experience: How he got in the industry, how to become hair specialist etc.
-He said that in past 10 years we got huge knowledge about hair and that we should have cure very soon
-He said that he has worked with Christiano, Aclaris and Samumed
-He said that JAK inhibitors are the new trend (in AA context :( )
-He said that PRP is good for male pattern baldness

Unfortunately I couldn't find Hoffmann, Wang or Higgins. I try to find them tomorrow :D
They all were very busy and rushing up and down.

I managed to speak with Jerry Shapiro and he said that he will give me an interview tomorrow. If you have some questions for him post them !!!

I guess you could always ask him which of the upcoming treatments (Histogen, Replicel, JAK, etc.) he views as the most promising?

Hey Guys,

I have just come back from the second day of the congress.
Unfortunately there is nothing to be excited for.

I recorded a lot of things today but only Hoffmann's presentation (from Replicel) is related to us (+ presentation about enchanting minoxidil)

Today I have seen a lot of pictures of AA patients who regrew 100% of hair with JAKs, but even after such a success they said that studies are early and final product is still years away. That is very discouraging because we haven't even seen 1 photo of Androgenetic Alopecia reversal (so Androgenetic Alopecia progress is behind AA)

Unfortunately Dr. Hoffmann didn't agree on interview. He said that without CEO he can't give interviews. He said that last time he gave interview was in Miami with Buckler (CEO). He said that this kind of interviews are often misleading and people on forums are very emotional.

But he answered some of my questions (without recording) and I will post them later.

Also I got audio interview from Dr. Eddy Wang. He is super cool guy. We talked about JAKs.

Unfortunately I couldn't find neither Higgins nor members of Terskikh's team. I will try to find them tomorrow :D (they have presentations).

Please someone inform Admin to create page (like World Hair Congress) and I will post presentations and interviews there on Monday/Tuesday
