Hi all

I quite often see people on here comment that rather than obtaining a hair transplant they will wait for upcoming changes in hair loss technology.

However I first pondered the notion of getting a hair transplant 16 years ago. Nothing much seems to have changed since then.

What are peoples estimations as to when there will be a substantial technology shift which drastically improves dealing with hair loss and why? What do you think the new tech will be?

Why do you say that?

I think given the current events taking place in the field this time frame is possible, but realistically, only the super rich will be able to afford this around that time.

I'd say 10-15 years for average to upper income people to be able to afford it.

I'm 27 and just had 2500 grafts done 4 months ago. I'm not holding my breath for an AFFORDABLE cure in 5 years.

My game plan is run with this transplant, take my finasteride every day, don't miss a day applying min and exercise / eat healthy.

Hopefully I can stretch it out for another 10-15 years for the affordable cure.

There will never be a 'cure'. At least not an affordable one. I'll give it 30 years.
