Does Microneedling Trigger The Hair To Go Through A Shed?

I've been microneedling my temple points and sides with the Dr. Pen A7 once a week for five weeks now. I feel like my hair is a bit thinner than it was before. I'm wondering if microneedling can cause hair to cycle into a shed similar to minoxidil. I'm hoping that's what it is and maybe I can expect regrowth to be a bit thicker. Otherwise I worry that microneedling may be causing some thinning out, which is not what I want!

BTW, I am using the 12-pin needles @ 1.5mm depth.

Btw i would add cetirizine 1% with a good vehicle
