A lot of people seem to believe that idea, and spout it from hairloss sites repeatedly. The trouble with it is that I have never seen any mention of that possibility in any medical journal article or study (well, with maybe one slight exception, but that's not saying very much).

Why do you think that is? And why would Dr. Proctor also bring this issue up on his site? Certainly it has had to have been discussed within the research community!

I really don't know why Dr. Proctor seems to believe that. If I had access to him again on some hairloss forum, I'd ask him directly where he got that idea, and ask him to cite me some studies on it!

Dr. Proctor has definitely posted on this site before, but not in a long time. I think his activity on these sites is becoming less and less, unfortunately.
