It's quite normal. T & DHT are highest in the morning, peaking between 9 AM - 1 PM or so, then they fall towards the day. Estrogen peaks around 6 PM in the afternoon.

I get the most intense itching between 9 - 11 in the morning, I can feel my scalp crawling during that time and have to scratch my head several times. I never get this in the afternoon.

It's kinda useful in a sense. If you still get that itch in the morning, you can tell that your treatments are not doing crap and that you will still be losing hair. The itch is a result of the inflammation caused by DHT, as long as you still feel that it's bad news.

Is this still the case if you work nights and sleep until 1 or later ? Ideally I feel peak t & dht hours would be the best window to apply my ru to maximize effects since it has a short half life.

Since being on estrogen and cypro my itch is definitely noticeably less, but its still there. I think my new treatments are at least doing something for my hair.. Still miniaturizing and losing ground right now though.
Definitely by day. Though i think my shedding is stopping. Four days ago i could count 20 hairr when i was applying minoxidil and in the shower, now i count three (minoxidil), and maybe ten in the shower. Last year i didnt shed at all, at lest i couldnt see (minoxidil or shower), but three is ok i guess. Four days of clearly diminished shed, is it too early to assume that the shed is over?
My shedding has been all over the place the last 41 days but overall it has decreased a bit. I've been losing about 100 - 120 hairs for the last 6 or 7 days so its definitely an improvement right now. Your shed could be ending but don't lose hope if it increases for a while. My shedding has been like a yo yo recently lol.

If you're losing 50-150 per day it's normal. Stress, seasonal changes can also trigger sheds. The key is to look at the quality of the hair being shed (is it thinning) and what's on top of your head. That will determine if it's male pattern baldness getting worse. You also have longer hair iirc which may make shedding look worse.

I was experimenting with some light brown dye a while back and to keep my beard dark with an eventual plan for the summer of silver hair and dark beard. I don't normally dye and this is a temporary fun thing for a month or so as I prefer my natural look. But what I noticed is that dying hair truly made me shed like a mofo. It's never ending in the shower despite using quality dye!
Most of the hairs that fall are thinning towards the root so I'm sure its ongoing male pattern baldness. I'm feeling hopeful right now though as my shedding hasn't been this low in almost 6 months! If things keep going like this I think I may actually get maintenance!
Out of curiosity Wolfpack, what color did you dye your hair?
