Buzzing is fine. In fact it's better - wet shaving can cause tiny invisible nicks in your skin which can get irritated by the adhesive. If you are wearing a lace base the tiny amount of stubble you get between reattachments will just poke through the lace mesh - no problem.

Hair grows a quarter-of-an-inch a month, or an eighth of an inch every 2 weeks. That is not enough to create a problem.
