Do the best Hair Systems look noticeable?

I've just been contemplating trying them, and when I first found them they looked great, and I was shocked that i couldn't tell the differences;

but I was looking through companies and customer photo's and they've started to look noticeable to me.

Is it just me, am I focusing too much? it's not even the "hairline" (which I thought it was at first) the hair just doesn't look soft, or plush enough, and doesn't really sit the way natural hair does. The hair sort of looks like it's too stiff as well. Stiff, dry, unnatural, plastic-ish?

Would most people even be able to tell? is this generally how they are thought of?

Honestly I think this question has no logical reply.
If I were to judge on the hair systems I _have_ noticed I would say they are noticeable.
But on the other hand there might be systems on the head of somebody I _did_ not notice.

My father is totally bald and always sported it and tried to teach that it is ridiculous to have hair systems. I am prejudiced against them. As every prejudice, it is stupid.

I think your only reply is trying for yourself.

I feel like crap now. I thought I was rocking my new hair piece, but now I realize I was just making an *** of myself.

Hahaha

I just meant, are they noticeable to most people?

I don't mean if they are only to yourself, even though that would be fine too. I don't see how this question is pointless:wacko:

Are they considered/or does any one else think they are faking looking or is it just me? idk.

I am just trying to make up my mind if I want one or not.

I wish there were more examples of photos on the interwebs; as there are usually only a couple.

In a word: no. A good system nowadays is undetectable by sight, and can be made 90% undetectable by touch if you are willing to go to the trouble.

99 out of 100 people wont have a clue. 1 out of 100 may see something unusual to their eye but very few will think hair system, wig, toupee.

We are all bias on here as we know and are looking at all photos posted - this is not a normal daily habit of most people.

Okay, I just want to know though, is the hair kind of "soft" at all? can you play with it or move it around, and generally without really close inspection, seem just like real or natural hair?

Oh, and I was just wondering too, when getting it "cut" the "blending" or whatever, does some of that entail cutting the hair so it looks natural? like, molding the hairline/and or creating a more realistic looking part and stuff?

The hair texture is just like normal hair at the start. It can dry out or get sun-frazzled if you don't look after it, but if you condition it and use sunscreen it remains like normal hair throughout its usable lifetime (maybe 5 or 6 months). When it ceases to be like normal hair, it's time to throw it out.

Systems come with long hair, so they have to be "cut in" to blend with your fringe of growing hair, and a good cut-in is important for getting a good blend and a natural look. The hairline and the parting are already fully formed when the piece arrives. Sometimes you have to trim a strip of extra mesh off the piece, which is left over from the manufacturing process.

Toupees have come along way over the last years and you can really get one that people won't notice. Whether you choose a custom hair system or buy one 'off the rack' there are two key things to remember above all.

No matter what hair piece you choose, the right color helps ensure an undetectable look. It is best to be as close to your natural hair color as possible. I use lordhair i sent them a hair sample and they made me a good match. The other thing that is important is to have a suitable hair density for you. depending on your normal hair and age, you might have a lighter hair density. However this would suit you. If the density is too high, the thick hair won't look natural. It is also not a good idea to buy a heavy density hair piece then thin it out, this may make knots more visible.
