Dermmatch Help Needed

As of today, I am starting to expierment with dermmatch. Ive already used Toppik and Nanogen, with good results. The only reason I want to try dermmatch is that it claims to stay on when wet, i.e swimming.

I dont know if it was just because I am a new user or what, but it took forever to apply, and I still didnt get good coverage over my crown until I finished with topppik. I also noticed alot of extra shedding resulting from the application, which was discouraging.

Anyone have any tips on how to apply dermmatch properly, and if it will really stay on your hair, even in the pool?

I wouldn't trust any concealer to stay on in a swimming pool. That's just asking for humiliation. With that said, I haven't tried dermmatch yet. I've used shake on fibers and prothik with good results so far, but would I jump into a pool with them on? Not if anyone else is there...

yeah i know toppik and nanogen look ridiculous when completely wet. They seem to do good for me when i sweat or light rain, but def wouldnt last in the pool.
dermmatch claims to stay on when you go swimming, really didnt beleive it but figured its worth a shot for the rare occasion i go swimming, I guess Ill have to try it out in privacy first

The truth is, I'd be afraid of any concealer that stayed on in a swimming pool. Anything that clings to your hair and scalp that strongly probably wouldn't be healthy for it.

take a clean toothbrush

brush a disk of dermatch with it and make lots of powder.

fill an empty bottle of toppik with the dermatch powder.

use a toppik spray maximizer ( the pump )

spray powder on your scalp , rub it slightly and style it with a plastic blush - exactly as if you were using toppik or nanogen .Preferably on dry scalp.

finish with plenty of good hairspray ( preferably alcohol free )

worked fine for me , i swim a lot !

you should try it first of course by filling your bathtub and soaking your head in it !!

dermmatch worked fine for me in the swimming pool and the beach,i just dont rub my head that much and let it dry on its own so it stays but in the water the dermmatch has always stayed on for me

i also play lots of basketball and do cardio if not playing and dermmatch always stays on,it seems to look better after i sweat for some reason..

just try whatever out for yerself

thanks for the help im definately gonna try that out. I usually use toppik/nanogen, bc its easier to apply and it makes my hair look better, but on days when I plan on going swimming im going to use dermmatch. I tested it out by soaking my head and rubbing my hand through it and it still did its job. I just didnt like apply it bc it felt like i was ripping the hair out of my head bc of the applicator, but hopefully the toothbrush method works for me
