DermMatch color

Hi,

English is not my native language so please excuse me if I sound weird.

I have a question regarding the DermMatch color. I have diffuse thinning all over the top of my scalp. I take finasteride and minoxidil at the moment and want to try out DermMatch to cover up the loss. But I'm not sure which color I should order. My hair is nearly black but not really. It is something between black and dark brown. A very very dark brown if that makes any sense.

Should I order the black or the dark brown color? Is it better to have the color slightly darker or slightly lighter? I think for most people the dermmatch color won't match the actual hair color, that's why I hope someone here can give me some advice.
I know you can mix two colors together but DermMatch is expensive enough...

Btw: My hair is short (0.5-0.8 in)

I have this exact problem... my hair is dark dark brown/black... when I used toppik black it looked too black then I switched to dark brown on toppik and it worked perfect. So for Dermmatch I'm curious which color I should choose....

How did the black work out for you?
