Hello, so today i went to one of the top dermatologists (hair specialist) in my country, it was very expensive and I got out even more confused than when i got in.
First, he started by asking me if i took any supplements, i told him i took protein powder, he told me to drop it immediately because as he said "All those fast absorption supplements to make muscle fast change your metabolism and can affect your hair."
I really dont know what to think of this...
second, he started bashing on fortifying shampoos and vitamins as they are a waste of money.
then he examined my hair and pulled it a few times in my hairline and crown. Then he proceed to explain that my hairline is just maturing and nothing i do at this moment is going to bring it back as im just loosing my juvenile hair(i really am not sure about this...), then I said that another dermatologist told me to use minoxidil and ive been using it for a year, he told me to drop it as at this stage it could be making me lose my hair faster by changing my hairs metabolism, and said that it doesnt work in my kind of hairloss.
Then he said that i shouldnt start Propecia until im sure it is male pattern baldness and to report back in two years.
Im really not sure about this guy, although he is very famous for his work but some of what his said doesnt add up in my head...
Do you think I should stop minoxidil? I dont think it is working either but I am scared of shedding if I stop.
Ill add some pictures so you can see how my hair is now and how it was 2 months ago, im going through a shed i think. The place highlighted orange are where i apply minoxidil, i also use it in my crown.
I have some other threads with older photos if that helps. Thank you for any feedback.
