Has anyone tried this? In theory sounds like it would work same way as Rogaine through blood circulation. Could be worth a try, this fellow is had tremendous success with it:

Curious about this recently. I used to think it was just for applying minoxidil but after seeing swisstemples' methods, I'm curious if this would at least stimulate a little regrowth on its own.

Wounding releases an explosion of growth factors. Use a derminator/dermapen though, the rolling motion of a dermaroller can be damaging to hair.

Derminator and dermapen are way too expensive. What if i would stab myself with the dermaroller insted of rolling it across?

The guy in the video - has grown no hair via derma rolling. Maybe a few strands but nothing significant. He has just pushed his hair forward if that makes sense. Notice how he doesn't put images of before and after derma rolling: with the hair pulled/combed back. He only pulled his hair back in the before picture.

Looks like he has his own website too. Likely to be selling some ****.

Other than that, rolling can help in theory, yes.

To avoid breakage, hold hair down very close and tight to the scalp. I would say use it more on sparse/diffuse areas instead of thick areas or you'll end up damaging the hair follicles.

I've seen this guys videos before. Honestly he has not had any success. Maybe if he added minoxidil or something he'd get better results but as far as I can tell the only difference is in the styling of his hair.

That's not to say dermarolling isn't effective though, it definitely is. My temples have been thickening up ever since I added dermarolling to my regimen so I believe in it, plus the science behind it is pretty solid.

I want to dermaroll specifically in a sparse, thinning spot on my hairline. Still have terminal hairs and thinner hairs there. I assume dermarolling would be especially effective on such an area that still has visible, full length hairs?

Also, if I see regrowth with a dermaroller, will finasteride/minoxidil maintain the hair I grow there, or will I need to continue to dermaroll the area to maintain it?

I just wanna post in this thread before it gets shut down :cool::cool::cool::cool:. Last I heard the mods do not allow posting in regards to dermarolling. There was a big cult trying to use this as a treatment here and on HLH. People were going all out posting pictures of their heads oozing with blood because they used the same length roller as outlined by the Indian study that brought this all about. I don't ever recall seeing mind blowing results. Maybe with swisstemples regimen this fits well, but for the rest of us...not sure.
