still shedding. could this be realated to starting nizoral 2% about 3 months ago or to putting olive oil in my hair starting also 3 months ago(after shampooing with thge nizoral)?

yes it stopped not long after I stopped with putting the olive oil in my hqir, cqn not be scientifically sure it was related but I will not be putting that in my hair anymore. So bottomline: I am still maintaing.
I check the forum very sporadically.

Got any photos of baseline and now? Do you have any problems with sides?

No problems with sides ( a bit less body-hair, watery jizz)
There were some pics a few pages back in the thread...don't think they stil excist (for the diffuse pattern it depends more from day to day (meaning for example if I washed my hair etc... so pics will not really tell you a lot), I haven't regained all my density so if my hair is wet it is noticable and in few more instances it is noticable...but all in all I still have not lost more and I was loosing it fast before the meds...
I am very lucky finasteride works for me and I hope it just continues doing it's work

update: no change as far as I am aware, very happy with that! Hoping I can hold on untill some of the new meds (histogen, replicel or the PGD2.thingy) hit the market.
I'm still open for suggestions of a topical anti-androgen that is easy in application and if you can please add a source on where to buy it from.

Feel very lucky (thankfull to my vanity for starting treatment soon enough), still maintaining, even get compliments about my hair (when I style it adequately I seem to have a thick full head of hair)... Hope finasteride keeps maintaining but must say I never dreamed it would work so well still after 9 years. I still have more hair then in 2003!! A few months ago I was shedding more then normal but I think this is what happens with finasteride (still synchronised growthphases etc..., also think I might shed more then someone with a perfectly healthy set of hair because of some hairs being 'frozen' (not deteriorating neither getting healthier) in a somewhat miniaturised state therefore having shorter growthcycles...WOULD LOVE IT THOUGH IF THEY FOUND A CURE so wouldn't have to live with this pending doom...

12 years apparently, situation is still the same...maintaining. I must say I did not think it would keep working so well.
Dry hair from the nizoral so I am using that now with a frequency of once a week instead off every three days. Still my hair is dry so I use wax every orning after showering...
