I have started minoxidil like a month ago and I continue to recede hairline including temples. Is it normal ? When it will stop ? I know new hair growth is 6-8 months but when can I expect to have receding hairline stopped ?
If-and that's a big if-you respond to minoxidil you won't see any noticeable results for AT LEAST 6 months. Stick to the treatment. Twice a day every day. Don't get discouraged by the slow results man. I've been using rogaine (minoxidil) for 14 months and my hair loss has stopped
Thanks bro, trying to stay positive. I am using nizoral and laser comb as well. Thinking of adding S5 cream. Are there any side effects of this cream ?
Minoxidil wont stop your hair loss man. It may just give you some regrowth for awhile until your hair loss catches up. You need to get on some anti-androgen to stop/slow it down.
What it should be then ? finasteride gave me horrible side effects bro. So what are my options at the moment ?
Im sorry to hear that. What side effects did you get, and what dosage? But im afraid hair loss is a losing battle without any anti-androgen. You could look into RU58841.
The one I had wasn't even on the possible sides. Was twitching all over my body like a popcorn, brain fog and zero erection. But erection wasn't my concern at all. It's the brain fog that took me through hell.
A week bro. It's weird how medicine works differently on different people.
Minoxidil wont help really much for people where male pattern baldness is progressing every month pretty noticeable.
Half of these comments are just not correct. I'm sorry guys but to say minoxidil doesn't do anything for hair loss is terrible advice. I know I have responded very well to it but you guys realize that millions and millions and millions of men use the drug right? If it didn't work it wouldn't be a staple in the hair loss industry.
Just because you didn't respond well doesn't mean others can't. And yes I know that just because I responded well it doesn't mean others will.
Bottom line: if you're afraid of finasteride-like me-try minoxidil for at least 6 months. If it isn't doing anything for you, then you can stop using it but don't let these guys make the treatment sound like it's ineffective
Actually, that´s not entirely true. There are many success stories who saw results in less than three months. I think for me personally it took like 6-9 months. If finasteride giving you sides, the are some topical AA which might help, topical e2 but best RU55841 for trying. Treating male pattern baldness with regrowth indegrients and without anti androgens its just like fighting with wind. What's your suggestion then since finasteride already gave me sides.
