Try minoxidil for a little longer at least 6 months. There stories of poeple maintaining a good amount of hair for 6+ years. With minoxidil thou after two years most hit baseline but still a stand alone treatment. Id suggest you dont try finasteride or dutasteride anymore, those side sound like finasteride and dutasteride are not for you. If u look deep, those are real side effects of 5 ar inhibitors. You can try ru too.

I don't understand why more people don't try to use a topical finasteride/minoxidi combination if they get sides from oral finasteride. At least the treatment would work better than minoxidil alone.

I have switched to Gaunitz minoxidil's and I can tell you they are the best liquid minoxidil I have ever used. I was going to write a thread about it. Gaunitz is a trichologist and if you watch his youtube videos, he obviously is well versed in his field. What impressed me the most is how his hair still looks after all these years. His minoxidil's are to be used once daily and you alternate it with two formula's. I also use his shampoo which is great too. His formula's address hair loss on multi levels.

Some do but topical finasteride almost always goes into the blood so they end up with sides again.

Some do but not all so it's worth a shot. According to those doctors who sold it, they found in their studies that most men did well with the topical form vs oral so it would always be worth trying.

But the mechanism of action is based in the body and not the scalp. I really can't understand topical finasteride.

Supposedly it actually works at the level of the follicle so it makes sense. Same thing as minoxidil. Your scalp is very porous so it allows for some local penetration.

I have started minoxidil like a month ago and I continue to recede hairline including temples. Is it normal ? When it will stop ? I know new hair growth is 6-8 months but when can I expect to have receding hairline stopped ?

You should use Finasteride or some anti DHT and combine it with Minoxidil. You will get much
better results, and much faster ones as well.
