Concealer That Doesn't Stain Sheets

Hi All:

I have been using hair fibers for years and have to wear a bandana when I go to bed so I don't stain my pillowcase. I also hate when the fibers are left behind on those cotton head protectors at the dentist office or when a massage therapist gets close and the hair fibers end up on all over their clothes. I gave up on finding something that could swim with, but I feel like there should be something available that doesn't leave traces of your fibers on everything. If anyone has had any luck with this, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks much!

Wash away your hair fibers before you go to bed. Put on new fibers when you go out in the morning/day.

Thanks for the tip. I'm dating and as you can imagine, would like to keep it on - at least at the beginning stage.

How much do you apply? I use a bit and as long as I avoid heavy rain it's not really detectable. When I apply concealer in the morning and style my hair I automatically get rid off the excess fibers when styling and after that it's close to impossible to get any noticeable amount on my hands if I run my hand through my hair. Only very heavy rain would expose it on my forehead since I use it very close to the hairline.

You're lucky you only need to use a little. I have to use a decent amount to conceal all the area that need coverage. I wish there was a solution that worked for these purposes.

Caboki. Use very little, just enough to get to job done... never comes off on pillow.

This is a tough one. I deal with it all the time. It's even tough when you crash at your gf/parents place. I buy dark sheets with a black/brown pillow case and I don't have a problem.

I've literally never had a problem with caboki. I use a little bit of tigi bed head wax with it. I leave it in for 3 to 4 days and never have issues. I used toppik in the past and wind got it to fall onto my forehead. Used febron and it clumped bad. In my opinion caboki is the best. If I know I'll be in extreme winds I also use the caboki volume control mist.. but avoid it for normal use since it makes your hair hard like a shell.

My girlfriend never suspected a thing. I always told her I hated my hair, that it was thinning, and that I used product to help out, but she never suspected I was using a concealer... she always told me I was nuts and had perfect hair. At our 9 month mark I revealed my secret to her... we are at 13 months now and going strong. She won't admit it, but I know she wouldn't have given me the first date if I had my head shaved... she's seen pictures and said I looked like a nazi. I look like Edward Norton, so shaved I have the American history X look.

It is often on sale and you can get a free sample. A bottle lasts me 3 months now that I've had a ton of regrowth from proscar and oral minoxidil.

The only thing that destroys it is rain. I invested in a nice umbrella that I keep in my car at all times and bring it out with me if even a small chance of rain. If I use dermmatch under it then I am not even worried about rain, other than the fibers running, but I can just wipe it off and the wet dermmatch keeps my look.

But I sleep with this stuff regularly and have never had it come off on a pillow. I'm literally only ever looking like my hair sucks for about 30 minutes every 3 to 4 days, so I'm at the point where even in dreams my hair looks good.

Can't recommend this product enough.. huge game changer. Went from perfect hair til I was 25, thinking from 26 to 29, practically bald from 30 to 32, but fought back and have had the illusion of perfect hair with caboki for the last 2 years as my hair slowly comes back.

My regiment:
Used finpecia 1mg for a year, almost no gains
Added biotin about 6 months into the finpecia usage, no gains... just grew faster
Added NAC, also tried L-cystein form about same time as biotin, minimal gains in hairline area.
Added .5mg dutasteride once a week at end of 1 year of finpecia, while still on finpecia... decent growth in hairline, but had some ED sides
Stopped finpecia at year and half mark and took .5mg dutasteride daily and used a mix of cialis and v**** to counter sides. ED problem became non issue, saw some gains at 6 month mark, but had a cancer scare and blamed the dutasteride so stopped that
Stopped taking all supplements and went on proscar 1.25mg [5mg broken to 4] and started to see progress again at 3 month mark
3 months into proscar I added oral minoxidil at 5mg through loniten brand. 6 months into loniten saw significant gains
Then upped to 10mg, lonitab brand oral minoxidil, while keeping on the proscar, and added vitamin A every other day. I'm about a month into this and now when I style my hair I only look like I have crown issues, which caboki fixes right up.

Way before starting the pharmaceuticals I tried topical rogaine on foam form but it barely did anything except made my scalp irritated. Wouldn't consider it now that I leave concealer in for 3 to 4 days at a time.

When I do wash my hair I use my girlfriends shampoo to wash out the concealer, then use lipogaine big 5, which I leave in while washing rest of my body, then end with a wash out conditioner. On day 3 my hair actually still looks and feels good... on day 4 it starts to look a bit dirty, but for the most part I use it for 3 days unless I didn't really go out, then stretching to 4 isn't so bad. My current goal is to find a good thickening conditioner so that I could possibly drop concealers since I'm so damn close to having perfect looking hair.

I'm a diffuse thinner, most men on mother's side are completely slick up top while my father's side doesn't even thin a little.
