Combing Dermatch in without pulling hair

I have tried many things but I can't seem to find anything that helps. Whenever i comb through the dermatch i pulls at my hair and rips a lot of hair out. Any suggestions?

I am not using dermmatch at the moment..but I had the similar problem using couvre. So what I did was..after towel drying my hair, I would comb it as I do normally and then apply couvre and let it dry. Then I would mildly comb again after a few times, this time though since most hairs are already combed, the ones that have got messy after applying couvre will blend into the others. This way combing doesnt pull out so many hairs.
