Hey all,

Im wondering if any experienced sufferesr can help me out here. I've been trawling thsite for nearly a year now which is when I first noticed my temples receeding. Since then I have done NOTHING to counter the loss...over than visit this site everyday hoping the answer will appear.

I want to take propecia, but am worried that it may speed the loss...which is reported by a few propecia users. My worry is that, with HM so close now, maybe I could do nothing and let it receed and then repair itwhen HM is available. Or do you think I should just jump on finasteride?

If I do decide finasteride...does anyone know the realistic success rate of just maintaining? Merck state some silly figure so it obviously can't be that high! Also, any idea roughly what percentage of users experience a shed?

Thanks,

Jack White

The majority do not shed, of those who do, most do not notice, Merck's published success rates must meet legal tests, they are accurate.

According to Dr. Washenik (some guy doing HM research) even when HM comes out he suggests to use Propecia and Rogaine to prevent the rest of your hair falling out.

It makes sense because even if you get HM, if your not on Propecia then DHT will continue to attack your other hairs and they will eventually fall out.

But I guess if your filthy rich then it doesnt matter and you could just get 80,000 grafts all over your head and say f*** Propecia.
