can you grow long hair on minoxidil for women

I am using minoxidil for small side areas/temples and I have long hair, now I am shedding all my long
hair, it is quite stressful to watch, will my hair grow long again or only grow short?

Yes, androgenetic alopecia (hormonal, nonscarring)

I think there's no reason to think that it won't grow back long like before.

A more likely issue could be that the color might be a bit different (a bit darker).
