Can Someone Tell Me What Norwood This Is?

Oh. I didn't believe there would be, thought Heinrich actually believed that and was like...ain't gonna happen.

The most you can expect is a slighly better finasteride/dutasteride with possibly fewer sides.

Also, a true cure would mean you apply something for a finite period of time, then you have a full Norwood 1/0. again. Now, tell me, what's more profitable: a life-long drug that treats the problem while it's being used or that short-term cure?

You seriously think there's going to be a cure in 2-3 years my man?

Not a universal cure. Stronger and more efficient treatments, absolutely. More expensive? Definitely. A lifetime commitment? Always.

From my experience I tell you that antiandrogens are going to do wonders for your hair. The question is, will you have sides? You can try.

Norwood 4, diffuse pattern, incoming Norwood 6. Get on meds or watch it go away slowly. I wouldn’t go to the gym if I were you. Instead I’d pick a sport, gym is pointless and it leads to injuries. If meds give you sides, stop them and wait 2-3 years for a cure. If they don’t give you any sides, tell nobody and keep taking them.
Dude wtf kind of advice is this? “Gym is pointless and leads to injuries” you’re the same guy that told me not to take finasteride and start doing bullshit sauna oil therapy. Why are you so wish washy with your advice?

Yeah? You think I can get good results?

The bullshit sauna you refer to helps tremendously with calcificated / fibrotic scalps and oils can penetrate the skin to help. You’re the guy who wanted to glue a squirrel to his head because of your “diffuse nw3 pattern”. Learn now that if you do put a hair piece on, that stupid sauna is going to be a must if you want your pores to live. The glue doesn’t come off with “just lukewarm water” especially in places where there’s native hair. You must actually put special creams on your scalp to soften and force the glue to detach from your skin. You probably saw less than five people use a hair piece by themselves and thought “ez pz”. It ain’t. Now why would you put the gym and scalp sauna in the same sentence beats me. In case you misunderstood clinic sauna on scalp with gym sauna then in that case I should clarify that they are not the same thing.

You’re implying that I strategically put gym and sauna in the same sentence? So weird that you combined them like that, when in reality they were two different points. One point being, you told this dude to not go to the gym because it’ll cause injury, which is some really strange advice. The other point being that you straight up told me to NOT get on finasteride and stick to the sauna. Meanwhile you’re over here telling this guy how well finasteride works.

I’m really curious as to why you told me not to take finasteride but you’re telling this guy how well finasteride works.

Also, once my hair gets to the point of no return I’ll gladly glue a hair system on ;). I don’t fit the shaved look and the profession I’m going for would be very difficult (impossible) to get into as a shaved twenty something year old.

I didn’t think it would be best for you to take finasteride because you’re all over the place, plus never saw a picture of your scalp. Low Norwood cases imo can be mistaken for alopecia but they aren’t so I didn’t want to suggest a strong drug with known sides on someone’s mental state because you seemed very anxious to begin with.

If you want to put a hair piece on by all means do it. I just gave you some information about the good the bad and the ugly.

The truth is that the treatments that are known to work are most effective at the early stages of male pattern baldness but does that mean it's too late for you? No way! I didn't start on Finasteride and Nizoral until my early to mid 30s and my balding was at a Norwood 2.5 - 3. A few years down the line, I've still got the same hair and it's probably even a bit thicker.
Have you tried growing your hair a bit longer just to see what it looks like? The shorter your hair the more noticeable the balding is.

Yeah, maybe I could find some ideal medium length, because my friend told me I shouldn't grow it out long anymore. Lol.

I bet toppik would help.

If a start up invents a functional cure they wont be shut down by a big company because they know they will get enough of the cake and just get rich. This theorie of yours is so 1990.

Hard to tell without a side profile but you look like you're a Norwood 3-4 with diffuse thinning. You dob't seem to be a full 4 yet as that usually entails a noticeable bald spot. However, with the diffuse thinning, you've probably only got a few years before you're a 5 or 6.

It's still treatable so I'd get on Propecia and Minoxidil asap. Should halt the hair loss and maybe even improve your hair somewhat. Hair transplant in your situation is still viable.

Even if you don't go down the med route and you're a Norwood 5 or 6 in a few years, It's certainly not the end of the world.

Please don't take this the wrong way but you're an average looking guy so the process of going bald isn't nearly as shitty as someone who is facially good looking.

I do think a bald head and a beard look would definitely suit you. Get yourself down a gym, tone up and own that rugged bald/beard look.

Lol, well...yeah, I think I would look alright with a shaved head. I don't really *want* to be bald, though. Guess I could always go a hair system route...

Well, I hope I'm not a full 4 yet, but I think I probably am. I don't know. If I'm still 3, I'd be like NW3.7 or something, lol.

Nothing I can do but get on the big 3. My goal is to get down to a solid NW3, I think that's sort of "shooting for the stars" but that's my goal.
