Can shampoo directly on lace base loosen knots?

Just used a very tiny drop of shampoo to clean base at hairline area, and wash bangs. Does putting even very small amount of shampoo on base and rinsing immediately loosen knots?

It’ll be fine. You can’t not wash the base. Washing can damage, but so does not washing.
I think non leave in conditioner is a no/no for lace though.

Thanks Jimlad! Yea i kind of started to see that washing causes some shedding but so does not washing and with not washing the hair looks bad and just not natural.

Man almost used regular conditioner, glad I didn't LOL
Agreed - shampoo is not a significant problem, but conditioner is.
Thanks Noah! Yea man, I'm glad to know that and very glad I didn't use regular hair conditioner...I almost did LOL
I'm probably going to order some 'Back2Natural' which I've read is good and restores color

Back2Natural is a great product. To be clear, you can also use normal conditioner on your system; just keep it off the base and the knots. If you have a polystyrene wig head or something similar, put the system on it, spread some conditioner on your comb, and comb it through through the hair, keeping it on the top layer and not delving down to the base. It's easier to do this is the conditioner is thick and creamy rather than liquid. When you rinse if off, turn the hairpiece base side up, so that the water is running through the base first and then the hair, so the conditioner is being washed away from the direction of the base and knots.

Awesome, I gotcha, that makes sense.
I screenshot your post for directions for my next wash :)

Thanks Noah, you're the man!
