buzz cutters- floating hairs?

I have diffuse thinning and about a year ago decided that the best way to conceal it would be to buzz it down to a #2. This was a great decision (you basically can't tell my hair is thinning with this cut) but the funny thing is that i actually notice my shedding hairs more with extremely short hair.

Just curious to see if anyone else with a buzz cut also looks in the mirror and sees "floating hairs" on top of their head? What i mean by "floating hairs" is individual hairs that have shed but not fallen off your head yet. When you have longer hair i guess they are camouflaged, but with a buzz cut they kinda just sit on your head.

Completely off topic- I still shed the same massive amount of hairs since I started fighting my hairloss over 5 years ago.

returnofthesheddier.... What are the results that you are getting with your regime?.... i mean... you have been taking dutasteride and finasteride for a while or atleast long enough to seem some results, and your still shedding like crazy? Anyways i shave my head with a #6 but my hair JUST (Norwood 2ish) started to thin so i guess i'll post something when it happens to me too.

shedi,

have you seen a decline in your hair. i remember when i first started finasteride hearing people say that although they continued losing the same amount of hair, their hair hasn't really changed.
