Hey,

Was curious to see if anyone had been busted or partially busted for wearing concealer?
I had been using Nanogen for a while but have opted to shave my head recently (which I´m still undecided about).

Has anyone touched your head and came undone with a palm full of toppik or dark, blonde stains?

It never happened to me in the 10 months or so I wore concealers but the fear of someone touching your head was always there. Even if it's a gentle pat on the back or a rub of the hair that some folk have been known to do.

Fibres are pretty safe, much more so than sprays or dermatch. I cant imagine it showing on someones hand but if you rubbed your head on a white pillow or towel maybe it would leave a grubby mark.

If you apply toppik right there should be a zero detection rate.

I all it after im get out of the shower when ive dried my hair (but not completely) and then i use a hairdryer. The fibres intergrate with my hair.

I then use hairspray to hold my hair tight.

THeres no chance of detection here. Impossible.

Toppik rubs off on my hands when I run it thru my hair. Forget about the pillow..I freak out if I have to spend the night with a new woman who has a white pillow!

I had some fall on my shoulder. I was wearing a white dress shirt. Dunno how it go there but that was detected.

The person couldn't figure out what it was but needless to say, I had a few nervous moments lol

Yes I've been busted using nanogen fibres by my friend. I stupidly forgot using the locking mist and after couple of hours there was black-dusty residue near my hairline and my friend kept staring at it until I went back home and noticed the sh*t. He never said sh*t and if he ever did, I would have denied using.

I always checked my forehead and the back of my shirt after wearing toppik. I had a coworker comment about the dirt on the back of my shirt where I guess the toppik had fallen out..that sucked. I switched from toppik to a new fiber and it seems to stay in my hair much better and I can even run my hands thru my hair now and not a thing is on them but I still get paranoid. Just goes with the deal I guess.

interesting,, seems this board hates dermmatch. I think the stuff is great if you have the right color and use it on the crown. It does not shine

Actually my sister busted someone that I know that was using these products.

She came home one day exclaiming that the guy that I know, she suspects to have a bald spot on his crown and that he uses "paint spray" to hide it

She said his crown area looked weird and was clearly "spray painted"

I've worked with this man for a full year (back in the day 3 years ago when balding wasnt an issue for me) and never would have suspected anything.

The guy always combed his hair forward and I always thought he looked like a doofus.........now that I'm balding too, I understand why he did this.

two plus two are finally coming together

when your balding you become more vigilant. But this doesnt mean not to be careful, because obviously there are women like my sister out there.

I have never been explicitly busted, but I have been implicitly busted. As in, putting too much on, running into someone who knew me before I used it, and having them give me the "look" (Glaring questioningly at my hair, then looking at me and pretending they weren't) or the "last time I saw you, you had no hair, wtf?" comment.

Lol that is funny. I've only just discovered Toppik. I'll tell my close friends and family about it. But I can't just go into work on Monday with it on. It will simply be too big a change. When I next move jobs I will start wearing it full time.
