Best Guide To Know Where To Buzz Down Bio Hair For Bonding?

For some reason I have hair growth higher up in the back then I remember having. So I need to start fresh and create a new buzz pattern to bond to. What ways have you guys used. In the past I would put the piece on with out glue and lift and buzz. Is there a better method?

I use the template I cut my base with to cut a guide line around.

I used talcum powder. You put the system or template in place, then sprinkle talcum powder over your head, then carefully remove the system/template. The hair that doesn't have talcum on it is the hair to buzz off.
