finasteride at 13.5 months seems to not have helped at all, has anyone added dutasteride after giving finasteride a fair chance, i feel like ive given finasteride a fair chance after 13.5 months so adding dutasteride 2x a week and still staying on finasteride is a thought im having,

My main question here is anyone done this, and seen good results from dutasteride, and go through shedding phases etc, please share your stories, Thanks

Ryan, you need to be reasonable. Your hair loss is not advanced and you are way to young to mess with a very serious drug that could have some serious side effects for your future. I know you are frustrated and afraid that you could go bald but your hair looks very good for your age. Harry Balls, a veteran poster on HLH was on it and he said he did not notice any real benefit from it vs Propecia. He said the side effects on avodart was bad and not worth continuing. I trust his input. He said he would never go back on it again. Right not just stay on you current treatments until something better comes along that is safer. Also save for a hair transplant as that is really the only thing that is going to make a huge difference. Your hair is thick and you have good density. You have perfect hair for a transplant in the future. Your hair is in better shape than most forum members. You have better hair than I do. I understand your obsession with your hair as I have the same problem but I don't have the density you have and I still would not risk going on Avodart even though I have thought about it but I trust what Harry said. I am going to just get a transplant next year and finally get a thicker hair line that no drugs will get me. By the way I miss Taco Cabana in Austin and I remember somewhere near the Highland mall was the best Vietnamese place. I loved living in Austin and some day I may go back there to live. Enjoy your youth in Austin. There is so many beautiful women there and so many things to do.
