He pushes Propecia like it's going out of style. Possibly a paid shill for Merck.

He practice medicine, he doesn't have to enforce it with an iron fist. He's not open to any new ideas besides propecia, propecia, propecia. 1.25mg too.

Any side effect is wrong, or hasn't been studied enough. Anybody who had a bad experience with propecia doesn't know what they're talking about.

That is really not what he points out. He acknowledges the side effects and encourages those who experience them to see their physician and/or discontinue use.

The study Merck propecia study is fairly airtight. I read the whole thing in its entirety yesterday... both the first year, then the second year, then after five years. It is a well-conducted study. Propecia has low incidence of side effects. 2% of millions is A LOT OF PEOPLE.

If there are 2 million propecia/finasteride users that means that there are 40,000 suffering from side effects. Can you see how you still have a relatively low risk yet there would be plenty of affected individuals willing to share their bad experience online?

As an aside;

Honest-to-God, ED has to be directly correlated with libido decrease because ERECTION IS NOT MEDIATED BY HORMONES, IT IS MODULATED. This means that if you see a naked hottie, it's your nervous system that tells your peep to salute (vasodilation). Your autonomic nervous system, however, is a little less likely to do that if you aren't subjectively horny. Being predisposed or "horny" IS somewhat hormonal, and this is where lowered DHT may take some effect in predisposed people.

I have read many articles by Rassman, he seems to be well respected and knows what he is talking about, he does seem very pro-propecia.

Thats probably because there really isn't anything else you can recommend besides finasteride and minoxidil. I don't know many MDs who recommend dutasteride.
