I would like to tell my story and experience with the hospital group Bromsgrove...

Please post some pictures on the board so everyone can the before and after. I know you say you will discuss them on the phone with people but this is a discussion forum that people post their pics and then discuss them here. It's your first post and you praise these Doctors but will not post pictures here? Also I noticed you posted this twice so I removed one and left this one.

Thanks

Correction S.a.f they DO have specialist surgeons, they have had a big change internally with a new principle surgeon joining the team who specialised on hair transplant surgery and has joined from a clinc in Beverley Hills

I also take it you live in the UK to be able to comment on UK hospitals?
Ok the UK isn't as advanced as the US, this is because this is still a very new thing
As you probably DON'T live in the UK and is just bigging up the US like every American always does, I would appreciate if you can stop speculating in less of course you have an experience you can relate to with a UK clinc?

I will of course post some pictures of before and after

Yes S.a.f does actually live in the U.K and is a long time member as well as a well liked and great contributor to HairLossTalk.com.

Actually you do not have to live in the UK to comment on their hospitals either. If you have had a transplant there or know someone who has then no matter where you live you would be able to comment on them. That also applies to any hospital in any country.

This is a consumer forum without Reps, Doctors or Marketing types and is designed for people to post their experiences, opinions and to ask questions to help others make choices based on past the past experiences of people who either went to any particular Doctor or know someone who has.

Actually that is a broad statement and no they ALL do not. I am an American and never have done anything of the sort and do not appreciate the generalization.

Thanks, I look forward to them. :)

PropeciaJunkie,

Everytime I try and upload I get the box stating progress and then just sits there and does nothing, is there another way to upload?

Well Propeciajunkie already answered the second part of your post, but as for the first NO they dont have specialists.
Everybody knows what the Hospital group is - its just a large chain of cosmetic surgery practises employing anyone who holds a certificate in general surgery, offering a long (menu) list of treatments.
The guy who does your hair transplant today will have been doing a boob job yesterday and will be sticking someones ears back tommorrow.
You cant compare these travelling surgeons who are willing to 'have a go at just about any type of procedure) to the likes of Feller, Rahal, Hassan and Wong, Cole ect ect... who only ever practice on form of surgery and do it day after day and have dedicated their entire career to doing just one thing.
They put their name on the door and every job has their reputation on the line.

You may very well end up with a acceptable result but IMO anyone risking their head on some random surgeon with no real reputation is playing russian roulette.

Blah blah blah, not interested in your point of view, oh and I would really check your facts before you shout your mouth off, really makes you look very silly indeed!

I've done what I said I was going to do and that was to tell my story and my experience with HG which is based on total fact (unlike S.A.F) and now I won't be on this forum again, im not defending anybody so will let the kids continue getting thier point across because they cant deal and make comments that are completely none factual (sorry SAF big word might need somebody to explain that one to you)

I can tell you now that SAF undoubtbly knows a hell of a lot more about hair transplant's than you Stevie, with him having around five, and learning the hard way by being a victim of unscrupulous clinics and building a wealth of knowledge on the hair transplant industry....

I know who I would listen to, and it ain't you.

As it happens, your photos are not of great quality, but you seem to be doing good for five months, and you should get more regrowth, but if you compare what docs like Hasson and Wong, SMG could have done with the same amount of grafts and probably little difference in price, you'd see that the hospital group are a substandard clinic in comparison.

It's interesting that the shills for the UK surgeons seem to do more harm than good. Though with that said most people who have been looking into cosmetic surgery will know all about the Hospital Group's mediocre (at best) reputation. I would not trust them with a bread and butter procedure, never mind a hair transplant.

For what it's worth, I've had two transplants with a British surgeon, with a third planned next year. I am very happy with the results and you can see *lots* of before, during and after photographs on my site :)

Well you are correct about one thing, you WILL NOT be on this forum again. Also nice try but you never did upload pics and just like every other "drive by" new poster that attempts to act legit you just proved who you are.

Bye Bye!

See you can spot these shills immeadiatley. They join the forum and open multiple new threads overtly praising some clinic that everybody knows is terrible. They never bother about any other topics or hairloss issues, just plugging their own clinics and offering 'help and further info' to any interested parties via pm.

They ALWAYS get exposed and leave the forum in a matter of days.

But dont worry you can be sure one of the HGroups other employees will be on here in the not too distant future to try and covertly drum up some business.

Right you are S.A.F but just like they can sign up, I can spot and ban them even faster! :woot:

The thing that puzzles me, is why are they so obvious about it?

It's almost like it's a double bluff, where competing clinics create moronic sounding shills in order to discredit each other.

Well it would take time to create a realistic hairloss sufferer persona, and these guys are all about the quick sell.
Its just another sign that their work is not up to a good enough standard for them to get by on recommendations ect.

Wow, you all got some shitty hair transplant surgeons on your side of the pond. There are tons of choices in the U.S., many of whom are likewise terrible, and thats the truly scary part, all of the Bosley hair mills are outnumbered by individuals, many of these which do even worse work than you'll find someone practicing their craft at Bosley (which is the Hospital Group in patient satisfaction and spread out in multiple cities)

It's not all bad, we have one or two of the best too.
(Well, certainly one from my experience)

Actually I believe that where-ever you go, you'll find cosmetic and medical surgeons who range from dreadful to excellent. I think it's regardless of country and discipline (there are even bad dentists) :)

Interestingly enough, as I need to get some perspective on my condition and options going forward, I'm going for a consultation on Wednesday at HG in Hammersmith to see Dr. Katona on my hairloss.

Although there's plenty of bad history with the group and rightly deserved, they have recently been taken over by Ziering Medical and have had some publicity of late with Jason Gardiner (or Dancing with Ice) using Hospital Group for his really good looking transplant.

I'd love a US procedure but with a very young family and busy work life, I just can't take the time out for a US trip, and I'm stuck with UK options only really.

I have no intention of being pressurised into a decision though, and I've also a consult booked for August with Dr. Farjo too, so we'll see what happens.

I'll post here my experience of the consult. Wish me luck.. gulp!

You're too busy to take one day to fly there and one day to fly back?

3 days in total for the procedure?
