Well some of these discussions really do end up a sh*t fight eh?
Bestukhairtransplant ,i am sorry if you took my post the wrong way,all i said was that you didnt have great density after 2 ops and that im happy your glad with the results.
Ive had a shocking result and it was my own fault to be sucked in by them hacks, wish i could turn back the clock and strt again.
Hasson and Wong are churning out a happy customer everyday and ok its not cheap but if you can live with staples for 2 weeks, they seem to be 1 of the best worldwide, yes there is others cheaper and more expensive before anyone jumps down my throat.
Seems to be that theres nothing good to say about hospital group so end of story eh? AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE

Hi all,im a fool to not have researched enough before commiting myself to a horrendous hair transplant.
i chose THE HOSPITAL GROUP,DOLAN PARK,BROMSGROVE because i got sucked in by there salesman doing me a good deal and no waiting time,i didnt get the alarm bells until it was too late.
they will perform it in a small dingy sweaty room downstairs with 4 staff and old fashioned dissection without all microscopic as they say to you.
you will end up with bad donor scarring as dr.goldstone cant perform the tricho closure properly as he says,
he will give you ridging/cobblestoning as they wont implant proper size graphs in proper holes and youll get like me a dolls head appearance becuse they dont trim down the graphs small and neat, they will rush you to get to do 3 patients in 1 day with 1 surgeon so please DONT GO THERE,MY LIFE IS SHATTERED AND I CANT GO OUT WITHOUT COVERING MY HEAD,
im awaiting repair surgery and lost my money and precious donor hair is wasted as they gave me a density of ONLY 15 GRAPHS PER SQUARE CM and promised 40,they took a big scar out so have damaged many many precious graphs gone forever,PLEASE PLEASE DONT CONSIDET THEM

sorry to hear your not happy ,you have to wait at least six months if not longer sometimes to see the end result, its all about expectations look at me l had 2 great hair transplants with dr westwood at the hospital group and the time of growth varied with each op so you must let things take there course we are all different genetically so l don't see how people can generalize ,the question i would ask if these American surgeons are so good why are they forgive the pun fishing in a little pond like the uk when there hundreds of thousands in there own country wanting a good hair transplant?is it there legal profession over there will sue the pants off bad work!? my photos are available please no sarcastic remarks ,anyone think of a transplant in the uk drop me line l give you my honest opinun explain what to expect

Err they're not, they're all in the U.S. There are NO good hair transplant surgeons in the UK, thats the whole point.

I think we all know what you can expect a 2nd rate terrible looking hair transplant with plenty of wasted donor and scarring.

Just because the hair transplant is done in the states, doesn't mean there aren't still butchers here in the US, just as there are in the UK.

My point is: just because you are getting an hair transplant done in the states, don't "assume" it will be top-notch work. There are plenty of butchers in the US, the same way that ALL of the hair transplant surgeons are apparently butchers in the UK.

Do your research and due dilligence before having an hair transplant. Too much research is not possible - you can never have too much. When considering an hair transplant, always keep in mind that the results of an hair transplant are permanent, and you will have to live with the outcome of it for the rest of your life...whether the hair transplant turns out good or bad.

Oh yes definatley there are bad US clinics aswell, infact the vast majority of all clinics are not very good. The point is though that there are only a few really good hair transplant surgeons in the world and most of them are in the U.S or Canada. None of them are in the UK.
Dont ever go to anyone who is'nt regarded as one of the worlds best. If you've never heard of a Dr despite researching on the forums dont go to him.

Speaking from myself I like many others are from the UK went the UK hair transplant route and then HAD to go to the U.S FOR REPAIR WORK.
Try going on the stophairlossnow forum you'll find its almost entirely filled with people in the same situation.
Luckily these days many people find the forums and seeing the evidence go straight to the best in the U.S.
Unluckily there are still some who dont research and they are the ones who fall prey to the U.K hacks.

Ps If you think I'm some U.S salesman can you please show where I've been selling any particular Dr. Like the way you are blatently trying to promote the HGroup?
Or maybe I'm just the worlds subtlest salesman or I work for the whole U.S Canadian hair transplant industry in general?

Yep its true and dont i know it.
ALL YOU GET FROM THE HOSPITAL GROUP AND THERE SURGEONS IS,
BAD DONOR SCARRING AS THEY CANT PERFORM TRICHOPTIC CLOSURE PROPERLY AND THEY WILL TAKE A HUGE CHUNK OF DONOR AND GIVE YOU A LITTLE AMOUNT OF GRAFTS SO THE DENSITY WILL BE SO LOW THAT THEY WILL ENTICE YOU BACK FOR MORE WORK CHEAPLY AND _UCK YOU UP FOR FUTURE SURGERIES AS THEY DID TO ME IN THE PAST,I WAS STUPID AND YOUNG AND THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME A VUNERABLE PERSON.
JUST DONT GO THERE AND BESTUKHAIRTRANSPLANT IS PROOF THAT THERE WORK IS NOT UP TO SCRATCH UNLESS YOUR HAPPY LIKE HIM WITH LOW DENSITY AND A BAD SCAR AT BACK AHMEN TO THE HOSPITAL GROUP,THEY SHOULD ADVERTISE IN THE BUTCHER SECTIONS OF MAGAZINES AND JOBS AVAIL....................

hi all i got a call from the hospital group about a free consultation in dublin for my receding hairline. Im 25 and it is annoying me and I looked at the posts about this hospital. They told me if I did need a transplant they would fly me to birmingham but after looking at these posts I think I might give them a skip. has any one got any reviews of HRBR clinic in blackrock in dublin Ireland. Many good stories on their website and James Nesbit got his treatment there aswel and they were also on the late late show so they must be good. Can any advise me?

Cheers

Most experienced users would advice you to travel abroad for a hair transplant and avoid any clinic in the UK. Look into Dr. ********.

I would like to tell my story and experience with the hospital group Bromsgrove...

As a 30 y/o male I was receeding and loosing a lot of my hair, my confidence dropped and I was fairly depressed about it...
A friend recommended the HG to me, however she was going in for a completly seperate proceedure (nothing to do with a hair transplant) so I looked them up and got an appointment to attend the consultation.

the next day I went along and had a consultation, I was a little nervous at first because said consultation wasn't with the surgeon, however after he had explained everything to me, and shown we some results, I paid my £500 deposit, and was booked in to see Dr Colin Westwood.

When I got home I googled the HG and found so many negative comments about the HG and hair transplants, although none were aimed at my surgeon I was immediately calling back the HG to discuss. I talked with the Surgeon on the phone and they gave me a name and number to speak with a past patient (once they had got clearance to do this from the patient)..

I was still very nervous even though they carry out 3 proceedures daily, I didn't know what to do and I would loose my £500 deposit.

So 5 months later the day arrived and I was to be for 07:30... OK I went for it.
I was booked in and given a nice breakfast and a cup of tea, with 7 tablets to take to start and reduce the inflamation... I had to take these for the next 7 days and each day reducing the dose by 1 tab.

In the theatre there was a team of nurses and of course the Doctor, I got comfortable in the chair and all started...

the local antiseptic was administered and yes it hurt like hell... with finally the peice of skin being removed and the nurses all got on with removing the grafts.. mean while the doctor started with the holes to insert the grafts into...

The nurses abstracted around 2300 grafts of hair, by this time it was 11am and I was borded silly with watching the daytime TV! however the nurses kept me entertained and we had a good laugh

All was completed about 2pm including the staples in my head, and I was free to go...

I got home and boy did I feel rough, even going to bed I couldn't lie down and was told to sit up for the first few nights so that I don't upset the new grafts.

Althought the discomfort eased over the next couple of weeks when the staples finally came out it was a big relief... no more skin pinching!

So it is now 5 months on, I have had my check up (yesterday) at the HG and they were happy with the results...

For me... I'm over the moon... the hair is coming through and looking good, and apparetnly I still have a lot more to start growing, they have told me that by Christmas I should see a lot more hair, and over the next 12 to 18 months following the proceedure (which was done in April '10) I should see a lot more.
The front and crown of my head was bald, with only a small bit in the middle... and I'm a completly new person... very happy with the work the hospital group did.

I have of course before and current pictures and more than happy to discuss with anybody on the phone about the hospital group.

Of course some people will have bad experiences, its like anything cosmetic, but from me I would recommend as they did a cracking job, and restored my confidence.

If you're not a shill then you must be one of the very few lucky ones. Either that or you just dont realise what a decent hair transplant looks like. :thumbdown2:

Whatever your situation is the fact is this place is not a top of the range clinic. And their surgeons are not specialists in this feild.
