Are There Any Early Signs Of Hyperandrogenicity?

Are there are early warning signs to look out for? i am experiencing mild scalp tingly itching after 4 days of use on finasteride but don't wanna jump to conclusions.

My libido has been lower but i haven't noticed much else in terms of side effects

Hair looks fairly thin and straw like unfortunately.

Had a fairly strong morning erection earlier which made me question where the finasteride was actually having any effect.

Skin rashes and seb derm are usually signs of reflex hyperandrogenism. Even though four days are not enough to judge.

I thought it started working right away though? your body surely would react straight away like any medication?

Yes but for build up an hormonal change take a lot of more time.

Im 9 months in on finasteride, i still get morning errections and i get itchy sometimes. For reflex i imagine that would require excessive shedding, thinning, getting hairier and seb derm. If you have none of those then i think you are fine

How early on do the side effects kick in?

For the first 3 days i used 1mg finasteride and experienced lower libido and weak erection, but yesterday i decided to lower the dose to 0.5mg and suddenly all i am getting is a low libido (maybe slightly higher than the 1mg).

I definitely have an itch around the thinning areas lately and all i can think of is that it must be down to the finasteride and if so this is worrying because i don't usually get an itch like this so am i just encouraging the DHT to get aggressive here?

I feel like finasteride will either make it better over time or it may just make things 10 times worse... and the thinning hasn't exactly stopped even if the itching continues.
