Anyone Who Has Made The Jump From 2.5mg To 5mg Oral Minoxidil?

I have been on 2.5mg daily for a year and am considering going up to 5mg Daily. I got maybe a 10% increase in density from 2.5mg Daily pretty quickly but haven't experienced anything positive for the last 10 months maybe.

5mg is what was used is the studies and found to be much more effective than 2.5mg with no changes to heart. You will be fine.

There is a member here who use an even lower dosage than that, think it was 1.25mg and experienced puffy eyelids and bloated stomach, then again there is another member who was taking 10mg with no diuretic and was fine. Just try and see, i would strongly advise taking 5mg though, it's a much more effective dosage than 2.5mg but of course the water retention sides increase but no heart issues were found at that dosage. I have been taking it since roughly october 2018 and experienced no skin issues or wrinkles with it.

No sides what so ever. It's hilarious. Not from dutasteride every day either.

As for sides, definitely getting more light headed, tired, and a weird heart rate. Bought a fitbit just now to better monitor things. I'm hoping things will stabilize in a few weeks or so. No other sides (except for mild anxiety).

I just switched to 5mg at night before bed. By the morning, my heart rate is normal during the day, and I don't suffer from daily fatigue . I think 5mg single dose is better anyway, especially since that's what they used in the studies.

I’ve used one month 5mg, second month 10mg & nearly ending month 3 on 15mg.

first two months my heart was going crazy, now.. no issues. I won’t be taking more than 15mg a day.

Any regrowth ?

Everyone keeps asking if I’ve dyed my hair, my hair was dark brown, now it’s black, it’s literally changed my hair colour.

As for regrowth, I’ve got a lot of small black hairs they’ve very fine, can only be seen with I look with my phone light! Maybe still too early for regrowth? I should hope between 4/6 month I may get more.

Overall hair is very thick except my hairline. I owe all my hair to dust, really helped my hair density.

only been 1 week so idk yet i have diffuse loss alover nw5 area so i hope to thicken all my hair

I wouldn’t take less than 5mg man. Everyone’s different though.
