I have had some good regrowth I think but still annoying vellus hairs on hairline that I'm trying my best to get thicker. So far I've added folligen, too soon to tell if it's helping. So I've read retin a can help improve the efficacy of minoxidil. Maybe this minoxidil #540 with retin-a will do the trick? Anyone with experience with minoxidil with retin-a particularly Dr. Lee's? Please any advice, comments or concerns would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

While you are on the subject, any thoughts about #2 Retinoic Acid 0.025%? It got the same base as the minoxidil so i suppose it dry very quick. Using it 1 - 2 hours before shower EOD whould be beneficial?

Been on these boards for a LONG time and have heard many good things about Dr. Lee's minoxidil w/ Retin-a. I say it's worth a shot.

Cool thanks for the advice, also thanks for the link to skinbiology, I ended up using folica though. Why do you use skinbiology over folica? Any reason?

In all seriousness, has anyone ever had documented results with retin-a? It's always struck me as a minimally effective treatment from the dark ages of hair loss.

I just read in Men's Health that their was a study that it can improve the efficacy of minoxidil.

"A Korean study showed that spiking rogaine with Retin-A...made the hair potion 25% more effective." - From Men's Health August 2010 issue. Unfortunately they don't cite the study or journal. Bryan any info on this?

501 has retin-a, I was mistaken when I wrote 540. I don't think there is a solution with a minoxidil % higher than 5 that also has retin a.
