what about nizoral and minoxidil 5% ?

Will they be able to stabilize hairloss, since i'm looking for that.
I don't care about regrowth, just stabilizing.

I am on propecia ( proscar cut in 10 pieces) and i don't like it really. I don't have erection problems, but i do have fatigue/dry scalp issues, which is a SIDE effect of propecia ( look it up if you don't believe me ).
I am a NW2 as you can see below.

You people really don't believe minoxidil and nizoral will slow/keep what i have?

Edit: On the fatigue issues, i have had to deal with this before in my life. It went away for the last couple of months ( reappeared after taking finasteride ), so the cause may not really be entirely because of finasteride, but still.... I need a clear head to function properly ( as does everyone :) ). And if i can keep my hair with supplements like minoxidil and nizoral, and perhaps RU, then i would be very happy.

Getting sick of people promoting RU who haven't even tried the stuff. Try it, then come back and tell me its ''better than finasteride''.

Nizoral does very little, keeps your scalp inflammation free and may dull the androgen receptors. On it's own it's very little. Minoxidil can keep you above baseline for 2-10 years but really depends on the individual. Think of it as more of a growth stimulant than a preventative drug. Yes it will slow it down, it does interfere with the hair loss process but not with the initial main trigger - DHT.

You need finasteride/dutasteride or this experimental RU that people mention - but not much is officially know about it. Without this you will not able to prevent further loss as best as you can.

I just find it funny that everyone on hair loss forums say that ketoconazole does little to nothing and they offer no reasoning to back up their conclusion. You also know they didn't try it on it's own for sufficient time to actually know if it worked have worked for them. And lastly that there are quite a few studies out there on keto and hair loss and they call come to the exact same conclusion. That it DOES help with male pattern baldness to some degree.

Believe the studies or opinions from people who didn't even try it?

The truth about Nizoral is that it is way overrated and its positive effects on the hair are marginal at best. The reason it is in the big three is mainly to do with convenience, as it is a shampoo and is convenient to use alongside the other two ingredients of the big three.

If Nizoral really was so effective, there would be much more evidence of its effectiveness from these forums, especially from the success stories section (the same would be true for RU also, as I mentioned in an earlier post). There would, indeed, be no need for finasteride if Nizoral was so effective. These hair loss forums have been around for well over a decade, and many thousands of forum users (myself included) have experience of using Nizoral, and in all this time, there has been very little evidence that it is anything like as effective as some of those studies seemed to suggest.

In any case, I personally am highly skeptical of those studies that found Nizoral to regrow all that hair. From what I've read, all of the studies carried out on Nizoral as an male pattern baldness treatment were performed on a small (and in some cases, tiny) sample size, and I would also question how well these studies were controlled. Also, most of these studies seem to have been carried out by people to whom the outcome of the results mattered, and I suspect that there may well have been a fair amount of experimenter bias in these studies.

I have seen those studies, there are some on emu oil and derma rolling too. It has a small effect at best which is why I said little. Why don't you try and halt your hair loss with just Nizoral and get back to us? It's not a standalone treatment and that is an essential point to get across for noobs.

I think unless you have an itchy scalp there is no point frying your hair for that small benefit. Get on finasteride, take down type 2 DHT. If you are just on Minoxidil then you will need Nizoral for that small help.

Keep using finasteride, your hair won't fall off but your penis and boobs will fall down :) and brace yourself for the prostate exams, at least you won't feel constipated ever again. Lol

Maybe if you actually helped somebody with their hair loss you would have positive rep. The rep system has a tendency to be misused, but in your case it works. You come here and offer absolutely no advice to anybody. You come here to do nothing more then scare people with your half truths and bogus information. I couldn't care less if you don't take finasteride. It is your own personal choice, but when you come here and spread lies as if this place is propeciahelp then I have a problem with it. If you want positive rep for your anti propecia garbage then go to propeciahelp. I am sure they will love you over there.

And as far as me neg repping you. You should be happy that at least somebody is giving you attention around here. Most of the threads you start have little to no replies and the same goes for your comments.

What's your problem? I was obviously making fun of the naysayers but you are probably too dumb to get it. And why you keep insisting on it? Everyone is AWARE of the POSSIBLE finasteride sides, and it's YOUR choice wether to try finasteride or not btw. Are you happy yet? Assuming you have male pattern baldness, this: "Regimen c*m right in the head, lol. Scalp massages, "natural" pills, occasional exercise (apparently this helps), etc, etc. Only minor stuff." seems like a bad joke. I'm really getting tired of trolls like yourself. You know what's really depressing? To be a NW1 and even bother coming here and making fun of the "baldies". Reconsider your life or else drop dead. Oh, and have a happy new year in your basement a**h**.

There's no way that RU is as effective as finasteride or dutasteride. If it was as effective as finasteride/dutasteride, there would be a lot more evidence by now of its effectiveness, and it would have become known to us.

How? It's a black market treatment.
