I've been searching the web again and came across National Trichology Services their website is http://www.natrichology.com. It was very interesting and I'm considering doing their online consult. However, I value your opinions and was wondering if anyone has heard good or bad things about them. What they are talking about makes sense and it doesn't sound like they are trying to sell snake oil.

Got some test results back and everything is in the normal range except my iron levels are very low. Confusing thing is I took Ferratin iron pills for years with no noticable hair loss decrease and then stopped them 3 mo. ago and noticed hair loss improvement, so I didn't go back on them, however now hair loss is increasing again. SOOOOO confused!!!!! :hairy:

Thanks you guys, gonna post this on the men's site too and see what their input is.

I don't know much of anything about trichology, but I have heard them metioned on hair loss forums.

But, do you really want to do hair loss treatments with a company in Australia, you being in Illinois????

After a brief web search of Trichology, it looks like a British/Australian version of a derm who specializes in hair loss??

I'm not sure what else to do. I've tried almost everything and then some. When I read the site it sounded somewhat promising, b/c they do get such a complete history from you and then can possibly prescribe rogaine active ingredients without some of the chemicals that cause some people with sensitive skin added hair loss. I've seen the specialist in Illinois that is supposed to be an expert in hair loss and didn't do a thing for me. All my tests were normal including male hormones, so now I don't know if its dht related or androgenetic alopecia, I'm so confused, I wish I could get one straight answer from a DR!!! I did have low iron levels, but not sure if that's a direct cause. Some drs think it doesn't relate and I know I took iron for years and it didn't make a difference that I could tell.
