I know that there are treatments that are proven effective but you'd really think by now they would have been perfected more. What I mean is that you have 2 main treatments that are available on the market i.e finasteride and minoxidil. Neither was even intended to be a hair loss treatment and one comes with side effects bad enough to put a good amount of guys off from taking it. Since we now know that DHT is the main culprit of male pattern baldness I don't understand why there aren't more trials and studies being done to try and find a safe, effective DHT blocker that can be applied topically like minoxidil.
When you compare the advancements in hair loss treatment to another area such as technology it's astounding how few advancements there are. I mean minoxidil has been available since the late 80s and finasteride since the late 90s and what advancements have there been since then? minoxidil being available as a foam? I mean that's nice but just look at how much mobile phones have advanced in the last decade. It makes no sense to me that there wouldn't be better and safer products available on the market by now.
