Am I Balding Or Just Overthinking It?

So for the past couple of months (about 4-5) months I’ve been worrying that I might be losing my hair. In the 4-5 months I lost a minimal amount of hair that I have been able to notice. I asked my barber one day if it looked like I was balding and he said no that my hair seemed perfectly fine. There were no signs of balding. He said it could be because my hair is long and that’s why it might look like it balding in the crown area. My hair is about 4 inches long on top. So I’m confused as to whether I am overthinking my entire situation and my barber is correct or if my assumption is correct. Anything could help please. Here are some photos.

Take another photo in 6 months to compare. I started treatment when my hair looked like yours. Your crown looks suspicious even though you have a cowlick. You have fine hair so it can be deceiving as to what is going on. If you have a strong family history of balding I would be more concerned. How old are you? Most people will not call that much hair on your head currently balding. To me I have seen plenty of men with cowlicks and you still don't see any scalp so I would be very suspicious in your case.

I just turned 20 last month. My family from dads side have no hair loss what so ever. On my moms side her father was bald. She has fine hair like mine as well. I’ve also been told of the cowlick I don’t know how to get rid of it though. Thanks for the response!

very early thinning on temple and crown look suspicious ( but it might be the lightning)

As others said crown looks a bit suspicious, but it might just be your hair's texture. Temples are around Norwood 2 but I think you can see further miniaturisation very slowly setting in. I'm not sure if I'd begin treatment in your place, you might just as well have a mature hairline and a normal cowlick, but observe your hair carefully in the months to come.
