I am wondering if I am in the early stages of going bald.

It is possible you could be balding but its not severe enough to tell. I would wait a year and compare your pictures from today to ones a year from now. Is your dad bald? Does hair loss run in your family?
The good news is you still are Norwood 1 and have a full head of hair, enjoy it.

Thank you for responding. My father is bald, but my grandfather on my mother’s side is 80 and still has a full head of hair! Also my father’s father started balding around the time he was in his 40s.

The mothers father having hair has absolutely nothing to do with your hair. Its all down to sheer luck and genetics. As of right now i dont think you are balding but it does happen, i started balding when i was 14 im 20 now. Wait til you are 18 and if you think it has got worse get on finasteride it should stop your hair falling out.
