Aggressive Diffuse Thinning Is Hell!

Every day. Full units of 4-6 hairs are coming out at once 6-8 inch hairs.

Can Finasteride make this worse.

I used finasteride, have ordered 0.5mg avodart today, i’ll Give it a go,

Damn it looks like your bald spots filled in(maybe just lightning?), I thought finasteride just blocks dht and maintains hair that you had, and was thinking to start straight from dutasteride

my hair at the start wasn’t that bad, I went through a massive shed on fins and then stopped for 6 months and it never grew back, I started again and went through another shed but this time I stuck at it, I’m hoping I can get it back

You think that rapid decline is mostly because of the finasteride and it would’ve been much better without or was it going downhill already? Like, I haven’t started anything and of course the shed is something that has been on my mind. But I think if I don’t do it, I’ll be losing my hair anyway right!

It’s a hard one pal, I can only tell you my experience, my barber told me I was going thin and I got paranoid, he told me like 5 month before that picture and I don’t see much hair loss looking at it now, people’s body’s react different, you could have great success with finasteride wish I had of left it

I’m four months in on Finasteride and nothing has changed, some shed. On big three but oral minoxidil.

Month one dutasteride update: Had to shave off the locks due to a really bad haircut. No side effects, that I notice anyway. Feel completely normal, besides a few off days, which I think is normal. Looking at my pattern it seems to be a classic horseshoe pattern. The hairs in the center of my head feel weaker, lighter and the density is scarce in comparison to the sides. No noticeable shedding, as of right now.

not many effective options . finasteride generally works well but it depends if you can tolerate it , or you can try Ru or CB or any other antiandrogen which i am not aware of . Anything else will only produce temporary results

But finasteride has long term side effects. As many say at least

I’m diffusing pretty badly and I want to see if my buzz would look similar to yours

You’re in luck, I took these about a month before Dutasteride. This was right after a shower and hair was pulled back. Same lighting as in previous pics.

Found some old pictures from when I buzzed about a year ago. Took some pictures today to compare the differences. Did I actually thicken hairs on top? Hairline possibly has gotten worse though. First picture is from January of 2018, and the latter is from today.Tried to get the same lighting to ensure they can be compared. They are approximately 3 weeks after I buzzed them. Maybe finasteride did help a bit. Can you guys see improvement?

You might respond different pal, i’ve Actually got stronger at the gym, stuff sames to work like a steroid for me, not helping my hair much and i’ve Been on it since April

At this point I have come to the realization that dutasteride and finasteride are only maintaining my hair, nothing more. Pretty upset but at least I am not slick bald, yet. Might start dermarolling next week, not expecting anything crazy either.

I think you should hop on minoxidil.

When you say shed @aggresivebalder , you are also saying finasteride is helping you maintain. So are you just shedding a lot but also growing the same hair again? Since its not getting worse?
