hmm thinking about this the "first cloned hair" was january this year and it was thought to be 1 hair
now if we apply moore's law, just replaceing number of transistors with number of hairs we'll expect 2 cloned hairs by mid 2011 and 4 by early 2013

16384 by 2031
65536 by 2034

so my estimate is we will have HM by 2034-2037

No news from Aderans yet. I'd like to hear from people who are going through the actual trials. Phase II is advanced already. Some of the people received their injections several months ago, so there should be available data.

i wouldn't be surprised if hm came about in 2034 for many other reasons
even though moore's law is specific to microprocessors, it's actually a prediction based on the speed of technological development in general
even if we can successfully clone individual hairs there is always something that delays the development and delays the time it takes to make it onto the market
