If you take that same picture on a 10yr old (close up, hair pulled back) it could look like it is receding. What did it look like before? Any crown recession? What do YOU think?
The crown does look okay for now. At this time I would probably just wait and see. If you notice it does start to get worse with crown loss then using Finasteride to hold off any further recession would probably be good for you.
Possibly but your hair is wet and you are taking a close up photo, so it is going to look a lot worse. I do not see anything where you could apply Minoxidil to. If you are noticing thinning, you can always start taking Finasteride, especially if you have a family history.
I personally would rather wait and see and in the meantime apply some natural growth stimulants like Rosemary and Peppermint oil to encourage growth. If it gets worse then reevaluate.
I would hop on finasteride as a preemptive measure, if you notice unbearable sides then just stop. I wish i had caught my male pattern baldness earlier on and i would be much better off today. Just my opinion.
Honestly... probably what I’m gonna do. The sides can’t be worse than my terrible anxiety about this...
If you know for certain you are thinking you can use Finasteride. It really is not meant as a preemptive...at least not confirmed as such yet.

Welp boys went to a dermatologist who said I had some thinning. Getting on the big 3. We’re all gonna make it
What Derelict said + vitamin D supplement. Wouldnt do Minoxidil just yet as once you go down that route it is shed followed by regrowth followed by shed followed by regrowth so on etc.I would suggest just starting finasteride and nizoral first, after a year assess the results and see if minoxidil is needed.
