With all due respect to most on HairLossTalk.com, it is somewhat hard for me to understand how somebody can notice male pattern baldness over several years and really be that concerned. A year ago, I knew I had a tendency to receed at the temples, but I never gave it a second thought until about 4 months ago when I noticed a lot of diffuse shedding. In those 4 months I have lost over half the hair on my head and my temples, especially the right one, have receeded so rapidly that I can notice a difference from week to week. By the end of the year, if something doesn't change, I'll be slick bald, or at least having to shave my head because I have just a few little hairs left. I started Propecia just under 60 days ago and I see no positive effects what so ever, although no side effects either. I am still going to give it time to work, but I would say I am probably a non-responder to finasteride.
It pisses me off to hear the "experts" talk about how the process of hairloss is something that takes place gradually with minituarization of follicles. That may be how it happens more often than not, but to say that is the process of male pattern baldness is total bullshit, I am living proof.
Is there anybody out there who has experienced anything similar to this? If so, what happened and how long did it take? Did you respond to finasteride? Etc,etc.
