I dont think there is a drug to bring down insulin levels. I believe that you eat foods that are low in glycemic index.
I think the relationship is non-causal, my guess is that the hormone levels that can cause both pattern baldness and hair growth probably also cause the increased levels of insulin.
I am getting my hairy back lasered right now and let me say that it seems very effective. After just one treatment I have gone from, "OMG thats a hairy back" to "hmm, thats not too bad, Ive seen a lot worse" ( reactions from girls ).
It probably knocked out at least half of the hairs, but its kinda patchy, some areas are almost bald ( the mid back ) where as some other areas maybe lost only 20% of their density ( the shoulders ). Im confident after 4 treatments it should be very smooth. And I wasnt considered an "ideal" candidate.
